Expenses


Students enrolling in TTCC must provide the following items as required for their chosen area of training.

1. Fall 2007 Maintenance Fees (Tuition) effective September 2007.

* The TTC has the option of charging $2.50 per hour within this range.
Special academic fees: Licensed Practical Nursing $100 per term ($300 Annual)

2. Textbooks, workbooks, paper, and pencils. (The TTCC Bookstore will stock necessary books and supplies needed for training, but students may purchase these items anywhere they choose.

3. All parts and materials used on personal projects.

4. Uniforms, safety glasses, and other personal items as required by specific occupational area.

5. Method of payment: cash preferred, personal checks approved on an individual basis.

Note: Fees listed are subject to change without notice. The Technology Center, jointly with the Tennessee Board of Regents, resumes the right to add, delete, or change fees for admission to the Center at any time without prior public notice.

Eligibility for Refunds

1. Change in full-time student's schedule, which results in a reclassification to a part-time student.
2. Change in a part-time student's schedule to fewer hours.
3. Voluntary withdrawal from the school.
4. Death of a student.
5. Students administratively dismissed will not be eligible for refunds.

Refund of Maintenance Fee

A student may be eligible for a refund of maintenance fees for the following reasons:

1.Full Refund
   a. 100% of fees will be refunded for classes cancelled by the Center.
   b. 100% of fees will be refunded for drops or withdrawals prior to the first official day of classes.
   c. 100% of fees will be refunded in the case of death of the student during the term.

2. Partial Refunds
   a. A refund of 75% may be allowed if a program is dropped or a student withdraws within the first
      10% of the class hours.
   b. A refund of 50% may be allowed if a program is dropped or student withdraws with in the first
      20% of the class hours.
   c. No refund may be permitted after 20% of the class hours have been completed.

3. There will be no refund after the first official day of classes when a minimum fee is collected.

Refund Project Fees, Books, or Supplies Policy

The Tennessee Technology Center at Covington is not allowed to refund any money for project fees, books, or supplies. The Center will stock some of the personal items for sale to students. However, you are not required to buy from the Center and may purchase the items any place you choose.

Processing of Refund

TTCC will be responsible for determining the amount of student refunds and will request the reimbursement for the Lead Institution [Jackson State Community College (JSCC)]. The check will be mailed by JSCC to the student at the address provided by TTCC. The time period for the processing of refunds should generally not exceed two weeks. The student is not required to do any paperwork to request a refund.
